New and improved primer. Less irritation and has a pleasant scent in either watermelon or strawberry. Not every client needs to be primed, only the oily ones. Use a small amount on a micro swab on the natural lashes and allow to dry before starting. Only to be used by trained professional lash artists. Flush immediately if comes in contact with eyes or skin. X
Primer ingredients: Water, Ethanol, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Allantoin, CI 42090, Disodiium EDTA, Fragrance
- Water โ Safe.
- Ethanol โ Used to cleanse natural lashes of oils before extension application. It can sting or irritate if it gets in the eye, but is safe when applied correctly to the lashes only (not skin or eye).
- Propylene Glycol โ Humectant/solvent, generally safe but may be mildly irritating if it enters the eye.
- Phenoxyethanol โ Preservative, safe at cosmetic levels, but can irritate the eye if direct contact occurs.
- Hydrolyzed Collagen โ Conditioning, safe.
- Allantoin โ Soothing and protective, safe.
- CI 42090 (Blue 1) โ Colorant, approved in cosmetics but unnecessary around eyes (mostly aesthetic for product appearance). Could be an irritant if it drips into the eye.
- Disodium EDTA โ Stabilizer, safe at cosmetic levels.
- Fragrance โ This is the main concern. Fragrance near the eye can cause irritation, watery eyes, or allergic reactions.
โ Safety Summary:
- Safe for professional lash use, assuming itโs applied only to the lashes and not directly on the skin or inside the eye.
- Fragrance and ethanol are the most likely irritants.
- The product should never touch the waterline or eyeball โ only the natural lash surface.
๐น For lash artists: Always apply with a microbrush, use minimal product, and keep the clientโs eyes fully closed to avoid stinging.
